A PERFORMANCE TO DIE FOR!

Rehearsals have begun for the town's Annual Pantomime but there's a Murderer on the loose - oh yes there is!  The cast and crew are dropping like flies, tensions are running high and everyone is in fear of their lives but the Director is determined that the 'Show Must Go On'.   How many will make it to Opening Night?

Approximate running time 100mins

Alternate ending also available

I haven't laughed so much in ages!

Absolutely brilliant!  Kept us guessing from start to finish.

Reptilian Park, home to the largest Reptile House in the country, the best thrill rides and attractions and boasts some of the World’s ‘deadliest’ creatures!  A thrill-seekers paradise!  But behind the scenes there is a different story.  The staff find themselves caught up in a ‘toxic’ environment, full of lies, deceit and secrets…….and a ghostly presence.  Is this a recipe for………..’cold-blooded’ murder?

MURDER AT REPTILIAN PARK

A WONDERFULLY CRAFTED AND BEAUTIFULLY SKILLFUL WHODUNNIT

The writing is sharp, pacy and crafty, sculpting a well thought out and brilliantly bonkers plot!

What a twist at the end!

Each and every cliff hanger, perfectly placed to leave the audience wanting more.

Oh My Life!

A Comedy/Drama

by Perri Ann Barley

Approximate running time 100mins

A perfect slice of everyday life!

A comedy play all about a family’s journey through love, drama, separation and absolute chaos!

Sally is a recently separated, working woman with three high maintenance children who is trying to get back on the dating scene.  Add into the mix her interfering and bickering parents, a jealous ex and his lover and a Handyman who just won’t go away!  Will Sally ever be able to move on and find love again?  Or more importantly – will she ever just get five minutes peace?

Featuring popular characters Bill and Doris

REVIEWS

OH MY LIFE! is a joyous romp.  I absolutely love this slice of life family comedy!  It’s funny in all the right places—sometimes hysterically so—yet it never descends into camp.  Barley does a great job writing totally relatable characters.  We recognize these people immediately and they each speak with their own distinct voice.  The dialogue is suitably fast-paced and witty.  This would be a great addition to any theatre’s summer line-up.

Oh My Life! is a delightful play that humorously captures the essence of family life.  Sally’s journey through love and chaos is both heartwarming and hilariously relatable.  The characters are vividly drawn, and the dialogue sparkles with wit.  Barley’s writing shines, making the ordinary extraordinary.   This play is a must-see for anyone who appreciates the beauty and comedy found in everyday struggles.  A true gem in contemporary theatre.

What a delightful comic romp, involving family in so many configurations!  The funny bits continue to escalate, but are grounded in the real affection and connection among all the characters.  I lost count of the number of times I laughed out loud.  I would love to see this piece on it’s feet.

What an absolute joy!  Perri Ann Barley’s comic writing sparkles in this charming story of family, separation, troubled teens, nosy parents, and love.  These characters would be a hoot to see on stage, but I can also easily see them in a hit BBC comedy that turns into a successful American import.  I wonder how “toad in the hole” would translate to an American audience?  Fast-paced, clever writing, hilarious physical bits. So well done!
